The FBI estimates that a woman is raped every six minutes, with a recent U.S. Bureau of Statistics Study indicating that in some states more than half the survivors of sexual abuse are girls under the age of 18.

An estimated 250,000 children, most of them girls, are sexually molested in their homes every year-usually by members of their own families.
